Circle is removing the net-redemption overage fee on USDC and EURC conversions into fiat for institutional customers. Express redemptions keep a 0.05% base fee, while Standard carries no Circle redemption fee.
Circle is removing its separate net-redemption overage fee from USDC and EURC conversions into fiat under a revised Circle Mint fee schedule. The pricing starts taking effect Oct. 19, 2026, and existing customers move onto it at the start of their next billing period on or after that date.
Circle Mint serves institutions such as exchanges, banks, wallet providers and institutional traders. It is unavailable to individuals or customers minting stablecoins for personal use.
Standard and Express tiers replace the old structure
Basic becomes Standard, while Institutional becomes Express. Circle is retiring the previous Standard tier, including its daily net-redemption fee and $10 million daily gross limit.
Customers can now choose Standard redemptions with no Circle redemption fee or Express redemptions at 0.05% of the gross amount before credits. Standard processing takes up to two business days, while Express quotes near-instant processing. Both timings are followed by additional bank settlement time.
Express credits depend on net minting
Express customers that mint more than they redeem in a billing period may receive credits against redemption fees. Circle lists a 25% credit for eligible positive net minting, rising to 75% at $40 million and 100% at $100 million. Credits cannot exceed redemption fees paid and are not guaranteed.
The schedule also exempts Circle Payments Network activity from Express redemption fees.
Circle targets 40 emerging markets
The fee change arrives as Circle widens USDC distribution. Chief executive Jeremy Allaire said on October 16 that the company is pursuing approximately 40 emerging and developing markets in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Circle has not identified the countries or a timetable for entry.
Separately, USDC circulation stood at $73.3 billion at the end of Q2 2026, according to Circle's quarterly results.
