Seaport Research Partners analyst Jay Goldberg kept his Sell rating on Nvidia. He says Nvidia should keep posting record sales in the near term but faces growing competition.
Goldberg kept his Sell rating on Nvidia with a $180 price target, about 15% below Thursday's $212 close, Barron's reported. He said Nvidia should keep posting record sales in the near term but faces growing competition.
Meanwhile, Nvidia shares fell 4.4% on Thursday amid renewed doubts over AI spending. They then rose 1.3% in premarket trading on Friday.
Goldberg views Nvidia's heavy use of financing deals as a response to that competitive pressure. He also flagged roughly $250 billion in supply chain commitments, plus a $500 billion funding plan that could reach $1 trillion.
Seaport said about 55 GW of data centre capacity is planned for next year, while labour, turbine and grid limits may cap builds near 30 GW.
