Solana reported 8.92 billion successful non-vote transactions for Q3 2026, more than double its Q4 2025 total. SOL still trades near $104, and the data does not show how much of the activity came from organic users.
Solana recorded 8.92 billion successful non-vote transactions in Q3 2026, up 104% from the 4.38 billion in Q4 2025. The figures come from a chart Solana published in an Oct. 20 post and sourced to Allium.
The same chart shows 7.54 billion transactions in Q1 2026 and 7.19 billion in Q2. That makes Q3 the busiest of the four quarters displayed, with growth of approximately 24% over Q2.
Two datasets give different totals
Solana Compass, which indexes the data independently, put Q3 completed non-vote transactions at 8.78 billion, against 7.13 billion in Q2. The gap between the two Q3 totals is 140 million transactions, and the examined material does not reconcile the difference.
Successful execution does not show that a human user sent a transaction. Compass says its raw spot-swap figures include circular and bot-driven trading, and neither source assigns an organic share to the 8.92 billion figure.
SOL trades near $104 despite the activity record
CoinGecko's market snapshot put SOL at $104.21, up 3.3% over 24 hours but down 3.5% over seven days. Market capitalization stood near $61.4 billion, with daily trading volume of $2.89 billion.
The article notes that the quarterly transaction figure and the October price snapshots cover different periods. The available evidence does not establish that transaction growth caused, or should have prevented, the recent price decline.
Alpenglow upgrade targets Oct. 21
An Oct. 19 report scheduled Solana's Alpenglow upgrade for Oct. 21, targeting roughly 150-millisecond finality. The Foundation's documentation says transaction execution, programs, and fee mechanics remain unchanged.
